Screenwriting software (pro vs free): which is best? All screenwriting software is not the same and just because it is free does not mean it is the best. Yes, all the programs help you to write and print (Fade In, Fade Out, Dissolve, INT, EXT, DAY, NIGHT, Slug-Lines, Exposition, etc.) your script in the industry acceptable format. When it comes to screenwriting software it can be a love-hate relationship. There are many to choose from but really only a handful that stand out to most screenwriters. In this list, I will review three of my favorite programs, the features they offer, the pros and cons, and finish by telling you what I currently use.

·It is also available in app form for ease of use.
Cons of Final Draft
·It can prove to be very expensive and this is a negative
·It is ideal only for professionals and this is a negative too.
·Another drawback of this software is that one can take time to get used to it.
